Parent and Family Engagement Policy 1270 constitutes the Board’s Parent and Family Engagement policy required by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).  ESSA mandates that local education agencies (LEA) develop a written parent and family engagement policy.  Parent and Family Engagement Policy 1270 supports the Board’s belief that parents, caregivers, families, and communities play a key role in supporting the Board’s vision of increasing academic achievement and ensuring that every student is prepared for college and/or career opportunities.
